Lady Eagles Volleyball Sweeps Cuyamaca

The MSJC women's volleyball team won in straight sets on Friday at Cuyamaca to win their second straight Pacific Coast Athletic Conference match.80c96e6a-6d25-459d-baae-ebdb57548f57.jpg

The Lady Eagles won handily in all three sets as they brought home victories by the scores of 25-17, 25-14, and 25-18.  Mercedes Bree led a balanced offensive attack with 11 kills while Sabrina Latteri added 10.  Dayanerrah Taoete had 8 kills and Hannah Schaffer had 5 to go along with her match high 27 assists.  Katie Foster had a match best 5 service aces.  On defense Ashley Cork had a team best 20 digs while Latteri had 14 and Mackenzie Johnson picked up 13.

The win improves the Lady Eagles overall record to 4-13 and their PCAC mark to 3-5.  Cuyamaca is still in search of their first win this year as they fell to 0-14 overall and 0-8 in conference.  MSJC will return to action this week when they host Southwestern on Wednesday night at 5 pm.  The match Wednesday is set to begin at 5 pm.
