MSJC Volleyball Comes up Short at Palomar

The Lady Eagles lost the first two sets by scores of 25-14 and 25-23, before rallying to take the third 25-22.  The Comets answered by winning the fourth to clinch the match 25-20.  Sabrina Latteri and Dayanerrah Taoete led the way on offense for the Lady Eagles with 13 and 14 kills.  Johannah Simon had 20 assists while Hannah Schaffer had 11.  Kaylee Thornton picked up a team high 13 digs while Latteri had 12.  Merceded Bree had a solo block and three block assists in the loss.

The loss drops the Lady Eagles season record to 4-18 overall and 3-10 in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference while Palomar improved to 13-6 and 10-3.  MSJC will return to action on Tuesday when they travel to San Diego City for a 5 pm match.  The Lady Eagles will play at home in a Thursday match when they host Imperial Valley.
