MSJC Volleyball Player Theis Signs with Arkansas-Monticello
MSJC women's volleyball player Alyssia Theis signed her National Letter of Intent this week to continue her education and athletic career at The University of Arkansas at Monticello.
Theis, a sophomore from Yucaipa High School, was the starting setter the past two seasons for the Lady Eagles helping them to a 16-9 record in her sophomore season. Theis was named Second Team All Pacific Coast Athletic Conference this past Fall. Theis was 7th in the state in assists for the season with 891, an average of 10.24 a set, she also was third on the team in digs for the year with 243 on the season. The 5'9 Theis also collected 59 kills and 36 total blocks during her sophomore campaign.
"Alyssia really helped set a foundation for us to build our program", said MSJC second year Head Coach Serinna Russo. "I am really looking forward to seeing what the future holds for her."
Arkansas-Monticello is an NCAA Division II school that competes in the Great American Conference. The Blossoms had a record of 15-15 last season.
