MSJC Volleyball Sweeps SBVC

The MSJC volleyball team started fast and never looked back on Wednesday night as they swept San Bernardino Valley 3-0 in a Pacific Coast Athletic Conference North Division match.vballforsbvc1-17.jpg

The Lady Eagles won the first set in convincing fashion 25-13.  They then followed up with wins of 25-19 and 25-15 to take the road match victory.  Kayley Stephens led a balanced offensive attack with a match high 10 kills.  Lauren Robertson added 7 kills while Luann O'Kane had 5.  Cynthia Arango led the defensive effort with 16 digs while O'Kane and Camryn Bootsma both picked up 9 digs a piece.  Bootsma also had 24 assists in the win.

MSJC improved to 8-8 overall and 2-1 in PCAC North contests with the win, while San Bernardino Valley fell to 2-12 on the season and 0-2 in conference play.  The Lady Eagles will return to action on Friday night when they travel to San Marcos to take on Palomar.  Friday night's match will begin at 5 pm.
