Three MSJC Volleyball Players Earn Scholarships

Three MSJC women's volleyball players have earned scholarships to continue their educations and playing careers next season.luannsigns-18.jpglaurenroberstonsigns-18.jpg

Luann O'Kane will move on to Davis & Elkins College an NCAA Division II school located in Elkins, West Virginia.  Luann was a First Team All Pacific Coast Athletic Conference performer this past season for the Lady Eagles while helping the team to a 12-11 overall record.  O'Kane led the team in both kills with 267 and digs with 302.  She also had 28 total blocks on the year with 7 solos and 21 block assists.

Lauren Robertson will be headed to St. Katherine's University.  St. Katherine's is and NAIA school located in San Marcos.  Lauren finished her sophomore season at MSJC with the second most kills on the team with 188.  Together over two seasons Robertson and O'Kane helped MSJC to an overall mark of 27-22 and in their freshmen season led the Lady Eagles to the program's first appearance in the CCCAA Southern California Regional Tournament.

Kayley Stephens is the third MSJC player who will be playing next season as she has signed with Hope International University.  Hope is located in Fullerton and is ankayleystephensigns---2.jpg
NAIA Division I school that competes in the highly competitive Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC).  Kayley was the Lady Eagles leader in blocks during the 2017 season as she totaled 60 on the season including 16 solo blocks and 44 block assists.  She also contributed on offense with 164 kills.






Three MSJC volleyball players have signed scholarships to move on to the four year level.  Luann O'Kane (left) will be headed to NCAA Division II Davis & Elkins in West Virginia while Lauren Robertson (top right) will continue on at St. Katherine's University in San Marcos, and Kayley Stephens (bottom right) will play at Hope International in Fullerton.
