The victory for the Lady Eagles kept them perfect on the season at 8-0 while the Huskies fell to 5-4.

MSJC came out strong as they won the first two sets handily by scores of 25-11 and 25-13 before the momentum switched and ELAC returned the favor by winning the third and fourth sets easily 14-25 and 13-25.  That set the stage for the deciding fifth set and the Lady Eagles prevailed 15-13 in the back and forth final set.

Lauren Patterson did most of the damage on offense for MSJC as she had a match high 22 kills.  Ruby Ruiz chipped in with 8 kills while setters Lannie Maffucci and Ariana Velasquez had 34 and 14 assists.  Cynthia Arrango led the way defensively picking up 15 digs while Ruiz had 14 and Patterson picked up 11.

MSJC will try and keep it going on Friday night when they travel to El Cajon to take on Cuyamaca.  The Lady Eagles return home next Monday September 24th when they host Antelope Valley.  Friday night's match will begin at 5 pm while Monday night's match is set for 6 pm.
