In Friday's opening set Imperial stayed close early with some solid serving to make the score 10-9 MSJC, but from there the Lady Eagles took control and won the opener 25-16.  Taylor Kushner had 6 kills in the set and Alyssia Theis had 9 assists, the most impressive stat of the first set for the Lady Eagles was that they committed zero hitting errors.

The second set was another strong one for MSJC as Theis collected 16 assists while Kriston Hilkey had 7 kills on just 8 swings and the Lady Eagles won 25-13.  MSJC put the finishing touches on the sweep with a 25-11 win in the third set.  The offense was once again strong and Kushner finished the set with 9 kills.

MSJC finished the night with 15 service aces, and had a huge offensive day as a team hitting .500 and committing just five hitting errors in the match.  "I am very pleased with our performance tonight," said head coach Kevin Pratte, "We played error free volleyball for the most part, hitting .500 as a team is fantastic and generating 15 aces is impressive."

The Lady Eagles improved to 11-6 overall and 3-4 in PCAC play.  MSJC will be home this Wednesday October 23rd when they host the state's number one ranked team, Grossmont College.  "I'm excited to play the number one team in the state, they are very talented," said Pratte.
