Women's Volleyball Swept by Harbor

The MSJC women's volleyball team got off to a bit of a slow start on Friday night and couldn't recover as they lost a non-conference match to Los Angeles Harbor 3-0.ashlynferrieraforharbor-17.jpg

The Lady Eagles lost a close first set 25-22 and then dropped the second 25-14 before finally being swept when the Seahawks won the third set 25-23.  Luann O'Kane had a team high 7 kills while Lauren Robertson knocked down 6 and Jami Loerch recorded 5 kills.  Camryn Bootsma had a team high 15 assists to go along with 10 digs.  Ashlyn Ferriera led the Lady Eagles defense with 11 digs in the loss.

MSJC is now 6-7 on the season after playing thirteen straight road matches to start the year.  The Lady Eagles will play both their Pacific Coast Athletic Conference North Division and home opener on Wednesday October 4th when they host College of the Desert.  MSJC will play their two home matches this week at Paloma Valley High School in Menifee.  Both Wednesday's match with COD and Friday's match with Mira Costa will begin at 6 pm.  The Lady Eagles will play their final two regularly scheduled home matches on October 27th and November 1st first back on the San Jacinto Campus in their newly renovated gymnasium.
