Five Lady Eagle Basketball Players Sign Scholarships

Five MSJC women's basketball players signed scholarships today to continue their academic and athletic careers this coming Fall.wbballsigningsforweb.jpg

DeShea Wilkes (Murrieta Valley HS), Erin Stanford (Twenty-nine Palms HS), and Johnette Brown (Twenty-nine Palms HS) all signed with Adams State University in Colorado.  Adams State is a NCAA Division II school and competes in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. Wilkes, Stanford, and Brown all earned First Team All Pacific Coast Athletic Conference honors this year while helping MSJC to a 24-6 overall record.  Brown also was tabbed 3rd Team All State for her play this past season. 

Kenyetta Fugate (Rialto HS) and Kathryn Thomas (Perris HS) both signed their National Letters of Intent to attend Presentation College in Aberdeen, South Dakota.  Presentation competes at the NAIA level and is a member of the North Star Athletic Association. 

These five players helped MSJC to a record of 47-13 over the past two seasons and were each members of the 2014 PCAC champion Lady Eagles.  With their signings, 13 MSJC women's basketball players have signed scholarships over the past three seasons.
