Grant Signs Women's Basketball Scholarship

MSJC women's basketball player Christina Grant signed a scholarship on Tuesday to continue her academic and playing career next season at Bacone College in Oklahoma.christinasigns1-16.jpg

Grant earned First Team All Pacific Coast Athletic Conference honors this past season for the Lady Eagles as she helped the team to their third conference championship in the past four years.  Grant averaged 7.7 points and 7 rebounds per game which included a career best 21 point, 17 rebound performance in MSJC's final regular season game against San Diego Mesa to clinch the league title.  Christina scored in double figures 10 times during her sophomore season as she was instrumental in the Lady Eagles 30-2 season th

ated in Muskogee, Oklahoma is an NAIA Division I school and a member of the Sooner Athletic Conference.

"Christina is a fierce competitor and I am excited to see what the future holds for her", said MSJC head women's basketball coach Chris Mozga.  "She did a lot of the things that many players don't want to do she was our glue, and loved to rebound and defend, she is going to be tough for us to replace."

Grant along with her teammates; Sarina Johnson (Eastern New Mexico), Genaya Wilkinson (Cal State San Bernardino), Suzie Castro-Larsen (Arizona Christian), and Lauren Morrison leave the Lady Eagle program as the winningest class in history as they had a two year record of 54-8.
