The Lady Eagles fell behind midway through the first half and couldn't recover as they trailed 39-33 at the half.  MSJC couldn't get their offense going as they finished the night shooting 31% from the field and going just 5 for 25 from beyond the three point line.  The Lady Eagles also had a tough night at the free throw line going just 12 for 27.

Brittany Neely was the lone bright spot on offense scoring a team high 16 points and grabbing a team high 9 rebounds.  Tamara Herring finished with 7 points and 4 steals.

The loss dropped MSJC into a four way tie at the top of the conference standings at 3-1 in Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play.  The Lady Eagles are 14-5 overall on the season and will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Mira Costa for a 5 pm game.  The Lady Eagles return home next Friday January 24th when they host San Diego Mesa, with that game also tipping off at 5 pm.
