Pair of Lady Eagles Named All State
Danielle and Tiffany Smith became the first team mates in MSJC history to be named All State in the same year for the Lady Eagles basketball program.
Danielle, who also earned Foothill Conference MVP honors, was a first team all state choice while Tiffany was named to the second team.
Danielle finished the season averaging 19.8 points, 7.7 assists, and 5.2 rebounds per game as she helped lead the Lady Eagles to a Foothill Conference championship. Last season as a freshman Danielle was named Third Team All State and is the first player in school history to be all state twice in her career. She also leaves MSJC as the school's all time leading scorer with 1,179 career points.
Tiffany averaged 19.9 points and 9.6 rebounds for the season. Tiffany was also a First Team All Foothill Conference pick leading MSJC to an overall record of 23-6 and their fourth straight play-off appearance. Tiffany finished her community college career with 924 total points after playing her freshman season at Irvine Valley in the 2007-08 season.
