Women's Hooper Madeline Morrow Signs Scholarship
MSJC women's basketball player Madeline Morrow signed a full ride scholarship earlier today to join the program at Northeastern State in Oklahoma.
Morrow started 33 of MSJC's 34 games this season helping the Lady Eagles to a 32-2 record and the school's first ever California Community College State championship. Morrow also helped MSJC to their fourth conference title in the past 6 seasons.
A graduate of Riverside King High School, Maddie averaged 5.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3 assists per game from her point guard position while also usually drawing the assignment of guarding the opposing team's best perimeter offensive player.
Northeastern State is an NCAA Division II school located in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and is a member of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (MIAA). The MIAA boasts the current NCAA Division II National Champion in women's basketball Central Missouri State. The Riverhawks are coming of a season in which they went 10-17.
Morrow joins Lady Eagle teammates Britney Thomas, Delacy Brown, and Kaila Gower as members of the 2017-18 team who have already signed scholarships for the upcoming season. Thomas and Brown will be attending Cal Baptist next Fall while Gower will continue on at Cal State San Marcos.
MSJC women's basketball player Maddie Morrow became the fourth player from the 2018 State Championship team to sign a scholarship. Morrow will attend Northeastern State an NCAA Division II school located in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
