Lady Eagle Golfers Shoot 698 in Palm Springs
The MSJC women's golf team shot 698 over two days at Indian Canyon Country Club in Palm Springs.
Jane Lee was MSJC's top golfer as she carded an 81 on Friday and followed up with a team best 80 for the weekend on Saturday. Kaylee Brackenbury shot an 84 on Friday and followed it up by carding a 95 in the second round. Ashley Coy shot her best round of the season on Saturday with an 86 after turning in a 90 in Friday's round. Sara Burg shot 94 and 99, and Taylor Brown improved by 16 strokes from round one to round two as she shot 106 on Friday and cut it all the way down to a season best 90 on Saturday. Savanna Baylee only played on Saturday and she turned in a 103.
Santa Barbara City College won the seven team event with a team score of 600 over the two day tournament. Citrus was second at 633 while Mt. SAC rounded out the top three with a 641. Host College of the Desert finished fourth at 645 one stroke ahead of Palomar. Irvine Valley and MSJC rounded out the team scoring on the weekend. MSJC will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Sycuan Country Club in San Diego for Orange Empire Match number two hosted by Cuyamaca.
Kaylee Brackenbury shot 84 and 95 on Friday and Saturday as she helped the MSJC women's golf team shoot a team total of 698 at the Desert Classic in Palm Springs. The Lady Eagles return to action on Wednesday in San Diego.
