The MSJC women's golf team put together their best performance of the season to date on Wednesday as they stayed undefeated in Foothill Conference play shooting a 322 at Santa Rosa Country Club in Palm Desert.
Wan Ling (Iris) Chung shot the low round of the day with a 74 as the Lady Eagles finished ahead of Palomar (330), College of the Desert (370), and Mt. San Antonio (375) for the second straight match. Chung who is a freshman from Taiwan carded 4 birdies and 8 pars in her round.
Dayna Doidge, a freshman from Riverside Poly High, shot her best score as a Lady Eagle on Wednesday shooting a 79 in the triple digit desert heat. Fellow freshman Alice Hiluta posted an 81 and sophomore Valerie Zulueta improved her score from Monday by 7 strokes to shoot an 88.
Vivian Shoemaker shot a 90 for MSJC to finish with the 12th best score of the day, but MSJC already had the four scores they needed to calculate their score. Amanda Hodgin carded a 97 and Cheyenne Ackerman put together an 88 playing the event as an individual.
The victory improved the Lady Eagles to 6-0 in Foothill Conference play. MSJC will be back in action on Monday September 17th when they travel to El Prado Golf Course-Butterfield Ranch for a 9am shot gun start.
