Second Straight 327 Gives Lady Eagles Fifth Place Finish
The MSJC women's golf team shot 327 for the second day in a row at Morro Bay Golf Course for a two day total of 654 which placed them 5th in the 15 team North-South Invitational.
England native Alice Hiluta led the way for the Lady Eagles shooting a 77 on Monday to go with her 79 from Sunday, her two day total of 156 was good enough for 13th in the 88 player field. Dayna Doidge finished the two day event one stroke behind Hiluta shooting 77-80 (157) finishing in 14th place. Valerie Zulueta and Cheyenne Ackerman both shot 172's with Zulueta going 86-86 and Ackerman doing the same. Sophomore captain Vivian Shoemaker was one shot behind Ackerman and Zulueta carding an 88 on Monday after her 85 Sunday. Amanda Hodgin rounded out the Lady Eagles scoring with a 191 (97-94).
The Lady Eagles played the tournament without their number one player Wan Ling (Iris) Chung, she is expected back for MSJC when the team resumes Foothill Conference play on Wednesday October 3rd. Wednesday's match will be held at Twin Oaks Country Club.
