Lady Eagle Soccer Team Fights to Scoreless Tie

The MSJC women's soccer team played strong defense on Friday afternoon, but couldn't find the net and came away with a 0-0 tie in a match played at Mira Costa College.rileyludwigsoccer-16.jpg

The Lady Eagles had some chances, but came up short as Mira Costa goal keeper Vanessa Llamas came up with 6 saves.  MSJC answered with strong play in goal from Riley Ludwig.  Ludwig had 9 saves in the match and came up with a couple critical ones late in the contest.

The tie moves the Lady Eagles record to 4-3-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference North Division standings.  Mira Costa is now 1-2-1 in conference play and 1-6-1 overall.  MSJC will be back in action on Tuesday when they travel to San Bernardino Valley College.  Tuesday's match at San Bernardino is set to begin at 3 pm.  The match with SBVC will end the first round of competition in PCAC North play, the Lady Eagles will then compete against teams from the PCAC South before concluding the season with a second round of matches against the North Division schools.


MSJC Goal Keeper Riley Ludwig came up with 9 saves on Friday to keep Mira Costa from scoring a goal as the MSJC women's soccer team tied their road contest 0-0 in  PCAC North Division action.
