Lady Eagle Soccer Team Lose Defensive Battle
The MSJC women's soccer team endured their first loss of the season on Friday losing at Pasadena City College 1-0 in a non conference match.
The Lady Eagles and Lancers battled through a scoreless first half as both defenses seemed to dominate the game. Pasadena would score the only goal of the match early in the second half in the 47th minute when Christina Salas was credited with a goal and an assist was given to Rachel Schroeder.
MSJC out shot Pasadena on the day, but could not find the net firing 7 shots at Lancer goal keepers. Amber Roberts and Marilla Dos Santos continued their solid play in goal for the Lady Eagles allowing just the one goal in the match.
The loss for the Lady Eagles makes their record on the year 5-1-1 while Pasadena improved to 2-3-2. MSJC will be back in action on Tuesday September 30th when they travel to San Diego Mesa College for a 7 pm match. The Lady Eagles return home to the Menifee Campus on Friday October 3rd when they host Southwestern in a 3:15 match.
