Lady Eagle Soccer Team Makes it Four in a Row

The MSJC women's soccer team overwhelmed visiting Imperial Valley on Tuesday as they won in a home match 9-0 on the Menifee Campus.LaurenTaylorforivc-16.jpg

The Lady Eagles wasted no time on Tuesday as they built a lead of 8-0 in the first half on their way to an easy victory.  Seven different MSJC players scored goals on the day and seven more had assists.  McKayla Collins and Stefania Navarrete each scored two goals for the Lady Eagles.  Savanna Alcantar, Lauren Taylor, Nicole Young, Destiny Blythe, and Elizabeth Barackman all added one goal a piece.  Collins also had an assist for MSJC while Perla Teran had two helpers.  Vanessa Gutierrez, Morgan Schaaf, Riley Ludwig, Alcantar, and Taylor all collected one assist each.

The MSJC defense also was strong again as they recorded their fourth shut out in a row and their 7th on the year.  The victory improved the Lady Eagles record on the season to 8-4-1 while Imperial Valley fell to 0-10.

The Lady Eagles next contest will be Friday when they travel to El Cajon to take on Grossmont College.  Friday's match is scheduled to kick off at 1 pm.
