MSJC Soccer Team Opens PCAC North With Win at Palomar
The MSJC soccer team won for the fifth straight time Wednesday when they shut out Palomar 1-0 in their Pacific Coast Athletic Conference North Division opener in San Marcos.
The Lady Eagles defense once again controlled the match as they earned their fourth shut out of the season. MSJC broke the scoreless tie when Ashley Ganley scored a goal just before halftime on an assist from Gabriella Chaname in the 44th minute. Lady Eagle goal keeper Riley Ludwig played all 90 minutes and had 7 saves.
The win gives the Lady Eagles an overall record of 6-1 on the season and 1-0 in PCAC North play. Palomar falls to 2-4-2 overall and 0-1 in conference action. The Lady Eagles will return to the pitch on Friday when they host Mira Costa at 3:15 on the Menifee Campus.
Ashley Ganley scored the Lady Eagles only goal of the day on Wednesday, but it was enough to lead MSJC to a 1-0 victory over Palomar in their first PCAC North Match of the year. MSJC is now 6-1 on the season. (photo DeeAnn Bradley/MSJC)
