MSJC Ties Desert in Soccer
The MSJC women's soccer team played College of the Desert to a 2-2 tie on Tuesday at Menifee.
The Lady Eagles first goal of the match came from Jasmine Lopez off an assist from Yuvitza Garcia in the 34th minute of the first half. MSJC scored in the second half at the 46 minute mark on an unassisted goal by Jamie Ayala. The goal was Ayala's 11th of the season which is the highest total in the Foothill Conference.
Kimberly Bussing played all 90 minutes in goal for the Lady Eagles allowing two goals and making four saves. The Lady Eagles are now 8-3-3 overall on the season and 2-2-3 in Foothill Conference play. Desert moved to 0-10-2 overall and 0-5-2 in the conference. MSJC returns to action on Friday when they travel to Rancho Cucamonga to take on Chaffey College in a 3 pm match. The Lady Eagles return home next Tuesday when they host Rio Hondo College. Next Tuesday's match in Menifee is also a 3 pm start.
Jamie Ayala scored her 11th goal of the season on Tuesday as the MSJC women's soccer team tied visiting College of the Desert 2-2. Ayala currently leads the Foothill Conference in goals scored for the season.
