SBVC Shuts Out MSJC Soccer Team

The MSJC women's soccer team could not find a way to score on Tuesday as they lost a Pacific Coast Athletic Conference North Division match at San Bernardino Valley 3-0.jeremiahandplayerssbvc-16.jpg

The Lady Eagles and the Wolverines were locked in a scoreless tie through the first 44 minutes of the match before SBVC's Jazlynn Martinez scored a goal just before halftime to make the score 1-0.  In the second half SBVC would add two more goals, one in the 61st minute and another in the 70th minute to put the match out of reach.  The Lady Eagles only managed to get three shots on goal during the afternoon.

In goal Riley Ludwig had a season high 12 saves despite giving up the three goals.  Ludwig played the first 80 minutes before giving way to Elizabeth Barackman who played the final 10 minutes and picked up a save.

The match concluded the Lady Eagles first run through opponents in the PCAC North, they will now play 5 consecutive cross-over matches with teams from the PCAC South, before ending the season with a second go around with North opponents.

MSJC who are the defending PCAC North Champions fell to 2-2-1 in league play and are 4-4-1 overall while SBVC improved to 5-0 in conference and 9-1 overall on the year.

The Lady Eagles will return to action on Friday when they travel to San Diego City for a 3 PM match.
