Serrato Leads MSJC Soccer Honors From the Conference
Five MSJC women's soccer players were honored by the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference last week when the all-conference team was announced led by Ariana Serrato being named the PCAC-
North Offensive Player of the Year.
Serrato led the PCAC North in goals scored with 14 and total points with 31. Serrato is a freshman from Lakeside HS in Elsinore. Lauren Perez, Morgan Schaaf, and Vanessa Gutierrez were all named All PCAC First Team while teammate Heather Furuya was named Honorable Mention.
Perez and Gutierrez helped the Lady Eagle defense give up just 1.67 goals per game. Perez is a sophomore from Paloma Valley HS while Gutierrez is a sophomore from Hemet West Valley. Schaaf scored 5 goals and had 3 assists on the season while also helping the defense from her mid field position. Schaaf is a sophomore from Temecula Chaparral. Furyua a freshman from Monrovia was second on the team in scoring as she had 11 goals and 23 total points for the year.
Along with their teammates these ladies helped MSJC to an overall record of 9-10-1 in 2017, they finished conference play at 5-4-1 and tied for third place.
