The Falcons jumped out to an early 1-0 lead when Itzel Ballesteros scored a goal just 3:10 into the match on assists from Ashli Villalobos and Carolina Jaramillo.  MSJC Goal Keeper Riley Ludwig and her defensive teammates kept it close the rest of the first half as she made three saves in the first 45 minutes.

In the second half Cerritos was able to extend the lead with goals in the 62nd and 76th minute to pull away to 3-0.  The Lady Eagles did answer with a goal of their own in the 78th minute when Destiny Blythe scored on assist from Savanna Alcantar.  Ludwig would finish the match with 8 saves for MSJC.

The loss ended MSJC's season as they finished with a record of 13-7-2, while Cerritos advanced to the Regional quarter-finals with a record of 20-1.  The Lady Eagles were making their fourth straight play-off appearance and were coming off the first post-season win in program history when they beat Bakersfield on Thursday.
