Soccer Team Wins With Sixth Shut Out

The MSJC women's soccer team picked up another win on Tuesday as they traveled to El Cajon and came away with a 2-0 victory over Cuyumaca College.amberroberts2014.jpg

The Lady Eagles scored two second half goals and recorded their sixth shut out of the season.  Sophomore Dimtra Tsambasis scored both MSJC goals on the day, the first was an unassisted goal in the 70th minute.  Just two minutes later Tsambasis took a pass from Azaila Sanchez and scored again to grab a 2-0 lead.

Amber Roberts played all 90 minutes in goal for the Lady Eagles and had two saves on her way to the shut out.  The Lady Eagles are now 7-1-2 on the season and open up Pacific Coast Athletic Conference North Division play on Friday when they host Mira Costa.  Friday's match kicks off on the Menifee Campus at 3:15.
