Third MSJC Soccer Player Earns Scholarship

The third MSJC women's soccer player from the class of 2017 has signed a scholarship to continue her academic and soccer career this Fall as Hanna Kanagawa inked an NLI to La SierraHannahKanagawasigns-17-2.jpg

Kanagawa earned Honorable Mention All Pacific Coast Athletic Conference honors this past season for the Lady Eagles as she helped the team to the program's first ever CCCAA play-off win.  Kanagawa scored five goals during her sophomore season and had two assists as MSJC finished the season 13-7-2.  During her freshman season Kanagawa was second on the team in scoring tallying 8 goals and adding 1 assist.  During her freshman season the Lady Eagles captured just the second conference title in school history as they finished 2015 with a record of 16-4. 

La Sierra University is located in Riverside and is an NAIA school that is a member of the California Pacific Conference (Cal Pac).  Last season La Sierra went 3-8 on the season.  Kanagawa joins teammates Riley Ludwig (William Penn University) and Aida Sandoval (McPherson College) as the third MSJC soccer player to earn a scholarship this Spring.  Kanagawa is a native of Tokyo, Japan.

Hanna Kanagawa became the third MSJC women's soccer player to sign a scholarship this year when she committed to La Sierra University in Riverside.  Kanagawa was a two year starter for the Lady Eagles and helped the team to an impressive 29-11-2 record in that time.  (DeeAnn Bradley/MSJC).
