The MSJC women's soccer team had to fight the weather and a very tough San Diego Miramar team on Tuesday to open Pacific Coast Athletic Conference North Division play and came out on theElizabethBarackman-mirimar1-16.jpg
short end in a 5-0 loss.

The Lady Eagles, who are the defending PCAC North Champions, could not find the net as they failed to score a goal for the second straight match. Miramar got the scoring started in the 28th minute and then added a second goal just before the half in the 44th minute to lead 2-0 at the break.  For the Jets it was Nicole Alvarado who scored both goals in the first.  Miramar would push the lead to 3-0 in the 64th minute and then tack on two more goals in the final 13 minutes of the match to earn the victory.

The loss drops MSJC to 2-3 on the season and 0-1 in the PCAC North standings while Miramar improved to 2-2-1 and 1-0.  The Lady Eagles will be back in action on Friday when they travel to San Marcos to take on Palomar in a 3:15 match.  MSJC returns home to Menifee next Tuesday September 27th when they host College of the Desert.  Kick off is set for 3:15 on the 27th.
