Women's Soccer Team Shuts Out Victor Valley

The MSJC women's soccer team had a strong defensive effort on Tuesday as they were able to shut out the visiting Victor Valley Rams 2-0 in Menifee.demitsambasis2013.jpg

Melissa Lopez recorded her first shut out of the year in goal for the Lady Eagles as she picked up 7 saves in the victory.  Leandra Garlinger scored a pair of goals, one in each half as MSJC evened their record for the season at 2-2.  Garlinger's first goal of the day came at the 14:15 mark of the first half when she scored off an assist from Dimitra Tsambasis.  Garlinger added her second goal at 53:30 of the second half to end the scoring for the day.

MSJC returns to action on Friday when they travel to Fullerton to take on the Hornets in a non conference match that begins at 2 pm.  The Lady Eagles will be back home in Menifee on Tuesday September 17th when they host El Camino College, kicking off at 4 pm.


Dimitra Tsambasis tallied an assist on the game's first goal Tuesday as the MSJC defeated visiting Victor Valley 2-0.  The win improved the Lady Eagles to 2-2 on the season.  The soccer team is back in action on Friday when they travel to Fullerton.
