Fullerton Tops Lady Eagles

The Mt. San Jacinto women's tennis team hit the road on Thursday, February 26th to play undefeated Fullerton College.  The day started with singles and the MSJC women played tough but Fullerton College was too much to handle.  The singles match of the day was awarded to Cristina Garcia because she took control of the momentum during the first set and carried it all the way to victory.  Every single spot was closely contested but Fullerton College earned the #1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 singles positions.  With the momentum of the match in Fullerton's favor, they swept doubles and earned a team victory of 8-1 against MSJC.

Coach Duron noted, "All the women played tough matches. I believe each of them are learning how much they love to compete and enjoy the pressure of competition.  The future is bright for these women and they are always looking forward to a challenge."

The next home match is on Friday, February 27th versus Mt. San Antonio College at 2pm.  The MSJC women's tennis team is now 3-2 in regular season play.
