Lady Eagle Tennis Team Picks Up Big Win at SD City

The MSJC women's tennis team kept things rolling on Thursday as they picked up a critical 5-4 conference victory on the road at San Diego City.corbieadamsforsdcity-17.jpg

The Lady Eagles led 2-1 after doubles play, but needed a singles victory from #1 Stacey Klink to pull out the match, and she delivered with an exciting 6-3, 6-3 win.  The win for MSJC pushed City into third place and allowed the Lady Eagles to keep pace with Grossmont a top the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference standings.  Margarita Leyva also earned a singles victory in the match and Emily Cantu was granted a victory by forfeit.  Klink teamed with Scarlett Steele to pick up a doubles point as well for MSJC as they easily defeated their opponents 8-1.

MSJC will enter the last week of the regular season with two matches remaining.  The Lady Eagles will host San Diego Mesa College on Tuesday and Cuyamaca on Thursday.  Both matches on the San Jacinto Campus will begin at 2 pm.

Corbie Adams and the MSJC women's tennis team got a huge win on Thursday as they defeated San Diego City 5-4 to stay tied with Grossmont a top the PCAC standings.  The Lady Eagles have two home matches next week to wrap up the regular season.  Tuesday MSJC hosts San Diego Mesa and Thursday will take on Cuyamaca.  Both matches start at 2 pm on the San Jacinto Campus.
