Women's Tennis Drops Home Match with SD City

The MSJC women's tennis team was coming off a victory against Imperial Valley last week, but couldn't hold off San Diego City Tuesday as they lost a home conference match 7-2.
The Lady Eagles did get a number 1 singles victory from Stacey Klink as she easily won her match 6-0 and 6-1. Honda Cantu battled in the #3 singles match, but came up short 5-7 and 3-6. Emily Cantu was also competitive in her singles match falling 2-6 and 3-6.
Klink teamed up with Shayla Evans to earn the Lady Eagles other point of the day as they won their number one doubles match 8-2.
MSJC is now 2-5 overall on the season and 1-5 in Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play. The Lady Eagles will return to the court on Thursday when they travel to El Cajon to take on Cuyamaca College at 2 pm.
Stacey Klink won her singles match on Tuesday and also teamed with Shayla Evans to win their doubles match, but the MSJC women's tennis team lost 7-2 to visiting San Diego City College in a PCAC match.
