Women's Tennis Team One Win From Conference Title

The MSJC women's tennis team won again on Tuesday to stay in first place in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference with one match remaining on Thursday.wtennisformesa2-17.jpg

Tuesday the Lady Eagles defeated visiting San Diego Mesa 6-3.  MSJC won two doubles matches and four singles matches against Mesa to improve to 11-2 in PCAC matches and 13-2 overall.  Grossmont also won on Tuesday in their match to finish their PCAC schedule with a record of 12-2.  If the Lady Eagles can defeat Cuyamaca on Thursday MSJC and Grossmont will tie for the 2017 conference title.

Against Mesa the Lady Eagles got wins from Corbie Adams, Shayla Evans, Margarita Leyva, and Emily Cantu in singles, while Leyva and Cantu as well as Adams and Evans teamed to get doubles wins.

MSJC's final regular season match on Thursday will be played here on the San Jacinto Campus at 2 pm.


The MSJC women's tennis team is one win away from a PCAC championship after beating San Deigo Mesa on Tuesday 6-3.  The Lady Eagles will host Cuyamaca in their final regular season match on Thursday at 2 pm.
