The City of Perris and Mt. San Jacinto College announced today, Feb. 8, 2018, a name change to the scholarship fund the scholarships created for the 13 Turpin siblings to reach their educational goals. The scholarship fund, formerly known as Perris Bright Futures Fund, is now called the Perris Inspires Fund. After learning that large corporations currently own the brand “Bright Futures,” and multiple entities utilize the brand for their programs, the agencies agreed to modify the name in order to provide this scholarship with its own unique identity.

The Perris Inspires Fund through the Mt. San Jacinto College Foundation will continue to raise funds for the 13 Turpin children so they may attend a college to earn a degree, a career certificate or transfer to a university. The funds will allow the Turpin children to attend MSJC or any educational institution of their choice.
