The LRC at the San Jacinto campus offers tutoring in a variety of disciplines, including centers supporting Mathematics, Writing, and Foreign Languages. Other subjects include Accounting, Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry, History, Psychology, Computer Technology, Music, English, Nutrition, Geography, Physics, Sociology, Political Science, Art, Communication, Anthropology, Environmental Science, Accounting, and Astronomy.
Over 40 computers in the Learning Resource Center are accessible for student use, and technology tutors are available Monday - Thursday 9am - 5pm. Printing is also available during these hours at 10 cents per page. These computers provide Microsoft Office Suite, as well as other programs and internet access. No appointment is necessary.
Tutoring Employment Opportunities
Students interested in tutoring at any of the centers located at the Learning Resource Center should contact Maria Aquino, Tutorial Services Specialist, at (951)487-3481. Students hired as paid tutors must have received an A or B in any subject in which they plan to tutor. In addition, they must be enrolled at MSJC with at least 6 semester units (3 units during the summer session), provide recommendations from MSJC instructors, and have successfully completed the tutor training class (TA100).
