Semester Parking Permits
Student Semester Permits are available for purchase online in Student Eagle Advisor. Parking permits will be mailed to your current address, be sure to click on Verify/Update Your Address & Phone in Eagle Advisor. Permits are mailed daily, starting 10 days prior to the start of the semester, and should arrive 3-5 days from purchase. Each permit is valid for the entire semester and must be displayed and visible at all times while parked on campus. Semester permits are $34.00 for the Spring and Fall semesters, and $15.00 for the Summer semester.
If you purchase a parking permit, and need to be on campus prior to receiving your permit in the mail, in EagleAdvisor (via ea.msjc.edu), click on Print Your Temporary Parking Permit and print the page. Display the temporary permit which is valid for 10 days, until your permanent parking permit arrives.
Note: You must be enrolled in at least one class, and all outstanding fees must be paid, before you can print a temporary parking permit or have a parking permit issued by mail.
Parking permits are not transferrable between students. If you drive more than one vehicle to campus please remove permit and display it on the vehicle you are driving. If you forget to transfer your permit, daily permits are available at the parking permit meters located in the parking lots on campus.
Daily Parking Permits
Daily parking permits are available at the kiosks located in the parking lots on campus.
Please take note of the following:
Parking citations not paid within thirty calendar days will incur a late fee. If citation remains unpaid a DMV Hold will be placed against the registered owners vehicle registration. Fines double after 30 days of the issuance date, and upon registration being placed on a DMV Hold.
Bicycles, skateboards, roller blades, and scooters are not to be ridden at any time on campus.
Bicycles may not be ridden on sidewalks or paths; bicycles must be pushed to bicycle racks. Bicycles must be parked in racks provided in such a manner as not to obstruct sidewalks, paths or vehicle flow. Racks are located in designated areas.
No animals are permitted on campus grounds. Exception: Service dogs.
Students have two weeks from the first day of classes to obtain their parking permit during Fall and Spring semesters, one week during Summer semester. During the first two weeks of the Fall and Spring semesters and one week during Summer semester, students may park only in student lots without a permit and will not be cited. After the grace period has expired, all students are expected to have their permits on their vehicle; any vehicles not displaying a valid semester permit may be cited. Do not park in staff or visitor lots/spaces; unauthorized vehicles will be cited.
Failure to display the permit according to these guidelines may result in a citation.
Students who elect to park off campus are subject to California Vehicle Code Laws and Private Property Rights and Ordinances which may include unauthorized vehicles be towed at owners expense when parked on private property.
