Board Highlights May 2011

The Mt. San Jacinto College Board of Trustees approved the MSJC Go Pass program during its regular meeting on May 12, 2011.
The program allows MSJC students to obtain unlimited bus rides with the Riverside Transit Agency for the next five years. Eighty-five percent of the MSJC students who voted on the Go Pass program supported a $6 per-semester fee to implement the program. The $6 fee is far below the typical $50 per-month RTA riders pay.
The Board also heard reports on: the District’s Strategic Plan, which serves as a blueprint for how the District will meet its goals over the next few years; and the Puente Program, which serves to increase the number of educationally underserved students who enroll in four-year colleges and universities, earn degrees, and return to the community as leaders and mentors to future generations.
