Board Highlights May 2016

The Mt. San Jacinto College Board of Trustees approved of an architectural firm to design a building under Measure AA and approved appointments and new positions during its regular meeting on May 12, 2016.

The board approved the STEM building design to LPA in the amount not to exceed $2,151,361. This is a project that will be funded through Measure AA, the district’s facilities bond measure.

Jeremy Brown was appointed dean of Instruction, Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences to replace Dr. Richard Rowley. Brandon Moore was appointed executive dean of Institutional Effectiveness, Assessment and Student Success after the board approved the new position. 

Rickianne Rycraft advanced from associate professor to professor of English.

The MSJC Board agreed to hold two meetings during the month of June. The first meeting will be a work session held from 1 – 5 p.m. on June 15 at the San Jacinto Campus, Room 200, and linked to the Menifee Valley Campus, Room 851. The second meeting is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. on June 23, at the San Jacinto Campus, Room 200, and linked to the Menifee Valley Campus, Room 851.
