The Mt. San Jacinto College Diversity Committee Presents: Counting the Uncounted
In Honor of Women’s History Month
Monday, March 3rd–Peace Memorial/Lecture: Peace memorial on the San Jacinto Campus to honor the forgotten civilians of the Holocaust at 12:30 PM (by the Eagle Statue). Magda Kasper, a Holocaust survivor, will then share her story and life experiences in the San Jacinto Campus Library from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm.
Thursday, March 6th–Workshop: Join us on the Menifee Valley Campus in Room 805 from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm for a WOMEN’S ONLY and “hands-on” self-defense workshop. Co-Sponsored By the Riverside Rape Crisis Center
Tuesday, March 11th-Lecture: Join Corrine St. Thomas of the OC Human Trafficking Task Force for a special discussion of local human trafficking, solutions, and resources. Located in the San Jacinto Campus Library from 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm.
Saturday, March 15th–Elect Her: Join SGA and AAUW on the Menifee Valley Campus in Room 805 from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm for a day dedicated to promoting women and leadership.
Wednesday, March 19th-Clothes Line Event: Join us on the San Jacinto Campus Quad from 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm to make t-shirts that bare witness to violence against women, co-sponsored By C.A.S.A.
Thursday, March 20th-Documentary Film/Discussion: Join us for a viewing of “GIRL RISING” and discussion of the global importance to expand educational opportunities for women at the San Jacinto Campus in Room 158 from 12:30 pm -2:30 pm.
