Superintendent/President Dr. Roger Schultz and Dr. Bill Vincent, vice president of Student Services, get dunked by students and staff
Students and staff cheered as Mt. San Jacinto College’s Superintendent/President Roger Schultz volunteered to be the first to sit on the dunk tank for the kick-off of Homecoming Week activities on Tuesday, November 1. Dunk the Presidents, held on the Menifee Valley Campus, was a fundraiser for the MSJC Student Government Association.
After several throws by students and staff members, it was Tina Vandewater, MSJC staff member, who struck the first blow that dunked Dr. Schultz. Vandewater said she participated to help support the SGA.
When asked what she thought of dunking the president, she jokingly said “That GIRLS RULE.”
Dr. Schultz , who dressed in a dress shirt, tie and swimming trunks, egged on the participants and had a good laugh.
“I enjoy getting involved in the activities that support students and campus life,” Dr. Schultz said. “We all had fun and it built a lot of friendships and a sense of community.”
The following are other Homecoming events scheduled this week:
