Former MSJC student competes in Olympics

Sarah Robles has excelled in track and field events since she was 13. On Sunday, August 5, she will compete in the Olympics as part of Team USA for weightlifting.
She set records at San Jacinto High School for shot put and discus throwing. Her coach, Rich McClure, used weightlifting as a way for her to improve in track.
Robles has placed her scholastic career on hold while she pursues her Olympic dreams. She started attending Mt. San Jacinto College while still in high school and has taken classes on and off since 2003. She also attended the University of Alabama and Arizona State University, focusing on physical education with a minor in Spanish.
