Lecture on the Large Hadron Collider

San Jacinto High School and Mt. San Jacinto College will be conducting another Spirit of Enlightenment lecture on Nov. 8th at 7:00 pm, in the San Jacinto High School Theatre, with guest lecturer, UCR professor Robert Clare.
Professor Clare is an experimental particle physicist involved in research at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN Switzerland.  His presentation will cover what the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is, what it is looking for, how it is looking for it and what they have found to date.  The LHC is the largest science experiment ever undertaken by mankind. The results that have already been found are changing textbooks. Come, hear what it is all about!
This event is free and open to the public.
