MSJC Alum is Fulbright Scholar at age 20

MilesTenBrinke.JPGMiles Ten Brinke, who transferred from MSJC to UC Berkeley in 2010, received the Exeter University Fulbright Student Award in 2012. Miles will pursue his master’s degree in energy policy in the fall at Exeter University in Cornwall. He is a published author and recently gave an inspiring commencement speech at Creekside High School in Murrieta. Miles graduated Creekside, a continuation school, before coming to MSJC.
While completing his studies at UC Berkeley this spring, Miles reflected on his experience at MSJC: After studying since 2010 at the world-renown UC Berekely “…  it with immense pride that I can say I started out at MSJC… (and)  that the foundation you all helped me build there is what has allowed me to thrive.”

Editor’s Note: Miles e-mailed MSJC to say he is pursuing a degree in energy policy, not environmental engineering as previously reported.
