The Mt. San Jacinto College Art Gallery will host its Annual Student Art Exhibition May 9 – 29, 2014. The Student Exhibition presents diverse artwork from the wide variety of credit courses offered in the Visual Arts at both the San Jacinto and Menifee campuses. All artwork on display was created during the academic year 2013/2014 by students enrolled at Mt. San Jacinto College. Participating artworks are nominated by instructors whose selection criteria are to represent the best examples and a wide range of subject matter and media. The exhibition includes quality artwork in drawing, painting, two-dimensional and three-dimensional design, ceramic arts, sculpture, bronze casting, photography and digital illustration.
The Annual Student Art Exhibition showcases the works of students who are developing their creativity and technical skills at the community college level. Additionally, this exhibition shows the diverse, individual outcomes of instructor and course studio assignments.
This exhibition is a valuable opportunity for students to display their work in a professional gallery setting and receive feedback from the greater community. Please join us in celebrating these artistic expressions by current students at Mt. San Jacinto. The gallery is free and open to the public.
The Annual Student Exhibition will run from Friday, May 9th through Thursday May 29th, 2014. A public reception will be held on Friday, May 9th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. For more information, please contact Joe Posadas at 951-487-3585 or www.msjc.edu/artgallery
