MSJC Foundation to feature health professionals at 6th annual Gala

Join the Mt. San Jacinto College Foundation as it features nurses, firefighters, emergency medical technicians and more during its 6th annual Gala on Feb. 8 at the Pechanga Resort and Casino.
The gala’s theme this year is “MSJC The Heart & Soul of Our Communities” and will highlight the college programs that train health professionals who go to work in local hospitals, fire departments and other health-related businesses. The Gala is the MSJC Foundation’s signature event to raise funds for student scholarships, mini-grants for faculty and classified staff and other philanthropic endeavors.
The evening will include fine dining, a silent auction, and dancing to the band Kicks ( Foundation will award the annual Alumni & Friends Association Awards during the 6th annual Gala to the following people:  Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians Tribal Council member Andrew Masiel and his wife Gloria, both longtime supporters of the MSJC Foundation and students; Catherine “Kit” Longe Stewart, a longtime Hemet educator who has supported MSJC students for decades with scholarships through the MSJC Foundation; Pat James, MSJC’s dean of library, technology and distance education, who recently retired; and Christina Yamanaka, associate professor of history on the San Jacinto Campus.
