MSJC Honors Program hosts a presentation by Meg Elison

Meg Elison will be talking about the importance of an unlimited view of the future after community college. She will draw on her own experiences as a transfer student from MSJC and the steps she went through writing and publishing her first novel.

Meg Elison is an East Bay writer and journalist and has written for Caliber Magazine, The Daily Californian, and The San Francisco Chronicle. She writes for multiple online outlets and The Mess sketch comedy group. She is a high school dropout and a graduate of MSJC and UC Berkeley. Her debut novel, The Book of the Unnamed Midwife, from Sybaritic Press is shortlisted for the 2014 Philip K. Dick Award for outstanding new science fiction.
