Mt. San Jacinto College’s honors society has been collecting items for its annual Holiday Food and Toy Drive. The MSJC Beta Delta Omega chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa honors society collected food and toys to assemble a holiday package for about 50 MSJC students or families of employees with needs.

This effort was supported by the MSJC Foundation through a mini-grant and the generosity of the Soboba Foundation through donations. MJSC students and employees nominate other students, faculty, and staff with families in need of a holiday package of food and toys.

MSJC student and PTK member Michael Carrier recalled helping a recipient of the drive last year.  She told him she was grateful to be able to put groceries on her shelf.

“To know that we’re helping families the way we are means a lot” Carrier said.
