Mt. San Jacinto College Presents: Fifth Annual Jazz Artist Series

Jazz trumpeter Dr. Jack Poster (pictured) will be the featured soloist for MSJC's Fifth Annual Jazz Artist Series. Poster has had an extensive background as lead trumpet player with Stan Kenton, Harry James, Ray Anthony, Si Zentner and others. During his time in Las Vegas, he was the featured artist and musical director at the Maxim Hotel. He coordinated bands on the Barge at Caesar's Palace for eight years and recorded albums with Frank Sinatra, Tom Jones, Dolly Parton, Diana Ross, J.J. Jackson, Andy Williams, The Pointer Sisters, Ray Anthony and Harry James.
 
Jack Poster has played lead trumpet in over 65 musicals. He currently contracts and plays lead trumpet for the Pat Rizzo Orchestra in Palm Springs and is the musical advisor-contractor and conductor for the Palm Springs Film Festival.
 
MSJC's Jazz Artist performance directed by Bob Waner will be presented on Sunday, February 23rd at 2pm in the Campus Theater on the San Jacinto Campus. Advance reservations are suggested.
