Mt. San Jacinto College students now have shelter while waiting for the bus on the San Jacinto Campus, thanks to the college and the Student Government Association.
Bus shelters with benches were installed at the roundabout on the San Jacinto Campus on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010. The MSJC Student Government Association contributed $4,000 toward the $20,858- project after hearing a presentation from SGA Senator Ken Prado.
“The SGA’s contribution toward the bus shelter is evidence of its commitment to improving student life at Mt. San Jacinto College,” said Dr. Bill Vincent, Vice President of Student Services. “I am proud of the SGA and thrilled that students who depend on public transportation have a comfortable place to wait for a ride.”
The SGA, formerly called the Associated Student Body, also contributed $3,000 toward bus shelters on the Menifee Valley Campus three years ago.
