In 1968, the day after Martin Luther King was killed, elementary school teacher, Jane Elliott, divided her third grade class into blue-eyed students and brown-eyed students. Blue-eyed students, she said, were smarter, got extra recess time and extra snacks. The prejudice that day is an inspirational lesson for all.
