The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department has arrested the suspect of a sexual battery incident that occurred today, March 1, 2017 on the San Jacinto Campus. Jeffrey Kohl, 51, of Hemet was arrested on suspicion of sexual battery and interference with school activities. He was booked into the Southwest Detention Center. MSJC provided a timely warning about the incident to the college community earlier today as part of our ongoing commitment to the safety of students, staff and visitors.
Please be cognizant of your surroundings and use caution when walking alone. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department and MSJC Campus Safety are currently investigating a sexual battery of a female student on the San Jacinto Campus that occurred at or about 1 p.m. today. Law enforcement officials said they have identified the suspect and are working on apprehending him. The campus is in no danger at this time.
